Automated system for optimal control of distribution electric network configuration
Relevance. The need to develop and implement technical solutions aimed at minimizing energy losses in the power supply systems of the public utility sector. The key direction in this area is the development of automated systems for optimal control of the operating modes of electrical networks. The implementation of such systems is currently technically feasible due to the availability of a developed software and hardware base. Aim. To develop an integrated system that automates the full cycle of optimal network configuration management: from data collection and analysis of current operating modes to determining the optimal configuration and secure generation of control commands. Methods. The network operating mode is calculated using the nodal voltage method and the Newton–Raphson method. The mode is corrected using the sensitivity matrix. The optimal network configuration is determined by solving the combinatorial optimization problem using the branch and bound method. The control system architecture is modeled using the object-oriented UML language. Results and conclusions. The authors have developed the algorithmic support and architecture of the automated system for optimal control of the distribution electric network configuration. The algorithmic support includes four main components: an algorithm for calculating and correcting the network operating mode based on the Newton–Raphson method and sensitivity matrices, an algorithm for determining the possibility of controlling reclosers in automatic mode with checking the state of the switching device, an algorithm for determining the optimal network configuration using the branch and bound method, and an algorithm for generating a sequence of control commands that allows avoiding violation of mode restrictions on the switching time. The developed architecture of the control system is described as a UML model reflecting interaction with related systems and operating personnel, as well as the main functional modules.
