Statistical analysis of the impact of tectonic disturbances on well productivity in the fault-block structure field of the Komi Republic

Relevance. Uneven distribution of productivity, nature of work and well water flooding dynamic over the field area is observed in fault-block structure fields. An increase in well productivity and other parameters in the direction of a tectonic fault is noted for objects complicated by tectonic disturbances. This paper studies the impact of geological parameters on the maximum oil flow rate using mathematical statistics methods in order to predict the new wells oil flow rate. Aim. To improve the new wells oil flow rates estimating methodology for objects complicated by fault-block tectonics, using the Silurian formation of the Timan-Pechora Basin Field as an example. Methods. Correlation and regression analysis. Results and conclusions. The 119 wells initial data set was used to study the relationship between the maximum flow rate and geological parameters such as distance to the fault, absolute depth mark, oil-filled thickness, porosity, oil saturation and permeability. The obtained inverse dependencies of the oil flow rate and absolute depth mark on the distance to the fault show that the well productivity decreases in the direction from the fault and the fault is formed at the top. A series of multivariate statistical models were created using step-by-step regression analysis. The developed Silurian formation predicting maximum oil flow rates mathematical models from geological parameters are statistically significant. It was found that well productivity is largely controlled by the geological parameters under consideration, and the distance to the fault and the oil-filled thicknesses has the main effect, which basically correspond to the earlier obtained results.
