Geological and geochemical characteristics of the Riphean sediments of the Kamsko-Belsky trough based on drilling data from the Arlanskaya-7000 parametric well and adjacent areas

Relevance. The need to study the Riphean deposits of the Kamsko-Belsky trough, which is a promising but poorly studied object in relation to oil and gas potential in the east of the Russian Plate. At the same time, a detailed study of the geological and geochemical features of the Riphean deposits of the Kamsko-Belsky trough is especially relevant to understand their generation capabilities. Aim. To study the Riphean deposits of the northern axial zone of the Kamsko-Belsky trough based on drilling materials from the Arlanskaya-7000 parametric well and adjacent areas. Objects. Riphean deposits of the Kamsko-Belsky trough. Methods. Analysis of published, stock and archival materials on the geological, tectonic structure, oil and gas potential of the territory, luminescent-bituminous analysis, statistical analysis of geochemical data. Results. The paper demonstrates the features of the geological and tectonic structure of the territory, gives the lithological characteristics of the Riphaean rocks based on the results of the study of Arlanskaya-7000parametric well, the section of which is stratotypic for the lower Riphean. The authors have carried out the analysis of the revealed oil and gas potential of the studied territory. Oil and gas core occurrences were mainly detected in the Arlanskaya and Ashitskaya sub-formations of the lower Riphean and the Olkhovskaya and Tukayevskaya formations of the middle Riphean. Based on the analytical processing and systematization of the results of geochemical studies of 12 wells, the authors gave the geological and geochemical characteristics of the Riphean deposits of the northern axial zone of the Kamsko-Belsky trough. According to a few factual data, oil-bearing rocks were identified at all stratigraphic levels in the Kaltasin formation of the Lower Riphean, which confirms the previously established regional development of the generational Kaltasin formation in the Kamsko-Belsky trough. The results obtained indicate the need for further study of the sections of wells that have exposed the Riphaean deposits by comprehensive laboratory and analytical studies, which will make it possible to more effectively study the prospects for oil and gas content of the Riphaean deposits in the Kamsko-Belsky trough.
