Combined technologies for extracting hard-to-recover georesources

Relevance. Due to the depletion of easily extractable mineral reserves by open-pit mining, there is an urgent need to develop technologies for extracting hard-to-recover natural resources by underground mining. Aim. Based on the analysis of available practical experience and developed promising technologies, to propose options for developing coal reserves with unfavorable mining and geological conditions with the possibility of their use for the extraction of various georesources. Methods. Content analysis, empirical, physical modeling and prototyping of the future sample of the device, experiments in the form of laboratory tests. Results and conclusions. The prospective volumes of hard-to-recover coal reserves suitable in the future for underground mining, concentrated in steeply inclined seams, are substantiated. The paper reveals the advantages of combined technological solutions, significantly increasing the productivity of the entire technological complex of equipment and allowing to maintain a low level of production costs, despite the increase in the cost of equipment and the volume of preparatory mining operations. The authors have proposed the variants of combined geotechnological solutions based on the creation of new, modernization and expansion of the functions of the existing types of the main technological equipment, as well as various methods of open-pit and underground mining of georesources. In particular, a new means of mechanization developed by the authors is proposed in the form of a multifunctional walking-type support as part of a complex with a heading machine and other necessary means of mechanization of technological operations, designed for high-speed driving of preparatory underground mine workings, for the development of hard-to-recover coal reserves with "short pillars", hydraulically, including in combination with an auger drilling rig. The mechanized complex can also be used for the development of placer deposits of diamonds, gold, titanium, platinum group metals, tin, tungsten, zirconium, tantalum, niobium, rare earth elements and some other georesources.
