Methods of utilizing thermal resource and stabilizing ecological situation on the closed coal enterprises
Relevance of the work is caused by fuel and energy complex state in Ukraine and the need for closing unprofitable coal companies, the struggle with the environmental consequences and the requirement to find alternative sources of thermal energy. The main aim of the study is to substantiate the flow sheets of heat resource recycling a the closed mines to maintain favorable energy and hydrogeological regimes in coal-mining regions. The methods used in the study: Based on the analysis and combining in a single module the technologies for energy production, drainage pits, water regulation and mine water purification the author has developed three geotechnological schemes which allow economically feasible stabilization of energy and environmental situation within coal mining areas. The results: It is possible to use the heat source of the closed mines in groundwater and residual coal reserves applying the developed technological schemes. Application of the proposed technical solutions based on territory natural and manmade state and on geotechnical assumptions formed as a result of coal mining will contribute to stability in obtaining heat transfer fuel for building heating and hot water supply, to reduce flooding and mine water purification in Donbass.
