Investigation of three-phase ac voltage converter, used for increasing energy efficiency of induction motors

The urgency of the research is caused by the need to introduce three phase power electronic converters, which have high efficiency, improved electromagnetic compatibility with supply network and motor, simple and reliable control system and relatively low price. The main aim of the study: to investigate the proposed three phase AC voltage converter, intended to control the voltage applied to stator windings of a squirrel cage induction motor. The methods used in the study: methods of the Theory of Signals and Systems, Power Electronics, numerical circuit modeling; experimental research was conducted by use of the implemented prototype of the proposed AC voltage converter. The results: The authors describe output voltage control properties and output voltage THD expression, compare the results of computer modeling and experimental research of the proposed converter.
