Efficiency of applying inductive heating in fluidized bed reactor
The paper introduces the technique of contactless introduction of thermal energy into fluidized bed reactor by electromagnetic field. The authors have studied induction heating of inert conducting particles placing into reactor and being the additional thermal energy source. Heat exchange process in fluidized bed device was studied; the effect of control parameters on the process efficiency was analyzed; the dependences of drying intensification on the variable parameters were determined. The results of the work showed that the technique is characterized by high energy density and flash heat as well as the process high efficiency achieving the value more than 75 %. The technique is notable for availability and design simplicity; it can be applied in various branches of industry. The experiments proved the efficiency of applying induction heating in the proposed drying technique.
